Description

The Senior Infrastructure Architect designs and develops IT infrastructure architecture solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. The Senior Infrastructure Architect work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

Designs and develops solutions to ensure that Humana IT functions are restored consistent with Business Impact Analysis tier objectives.

The DR Solutions Architect work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

The DR Solutions Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. Develops specifications for DR service offerings and maintains DR solutions catalog

Provides DR solution deployment instruction to the DR team and other stakeholders.

Periodically audit application infrastructure deployment to ensure compliance with solutions catalog specifications.

Collaborates with the IT infrastructure and application development teams as needed to ensure DR capabilities are addressed in adopted technologies.

Collaborate with IT Security teams on the development of cyber recovery strategies.

Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services in order to ensure an integrated and recoverable architecture across interdependent technologies.

Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.

Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Manages vendors and provides leadership to DR teams members

Required Qualifications

8 years of infrastructure architecture experience

4 years of leadership experience

Working knowledge of network, server, storage, and common IT services concepts

Experience developing a solutions catalog

Experience integrating new technologies with existing technologies

Experience implementing technologies with enterprise-wide impact

Experience selecting products and developing enterprise-wide disaster recovery solutions

2 years of VMware vCenter experience

Experience with data backup systems, asynchronous and synchronous replication technologies.

Working knowledge of VMware Site Recovery Manager and Zerto

Working knowledge of mainframe and AIX platforms including common DR strategies

Ability to compile and analyze data points to realize needs and produce recommendations

Proficient in Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications

Disaster Recover Institute - Certified Business Continuity Professional or equivalent

Experience with Zerto, VMware Site Recovery Manager, Rubrik, Dell Data Domain, Dell Avamar and Microsoft SQL Server

Experience developing DR solutions in Azure
