Our world-class support team is seeking for a BI Support
Engineer
. In this role, you will provide comprehensive technical support via phone, email, and other software tools to help us maintain high quality of services for our Fortune 500 customers. As part of a 24x7 operation to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty, you will work closely with other team members to insure that customer needs and issues are driven to resolutions.
Role and Responsibilities
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, while working with diverse audiences including highly technical IT professionals, developers, architects, and executive management.
Exhibit leadership through personal responsibility, accountability and teamwork.
Act as a technical focal point in cooperative relationships with other companies.
Manage crisis situations that may involve technically challenging issues and diverse audiences.
Own and resolve technically complex mission critical or politically hot customer issues
Be responsive to customer needs which may sometimes require outside of normal business hours or on-call rotation.
Use trace analysis, debug skills, source code, and other proprietary tools, to analyze problems and develop solutions to meet customer needs; this may involve writing code.
Maintain strong working knowledge of released products and take ownership for product improvement.
Required Skills
Experience in a customer facing or customer support role
Experience in troubleshooting and problem solving role
Experience in a team environment
Experience with SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 or an equivalent database product
Experience with Business Intelligence including SQL Reporting Services and/or Analysis Services
Experience with SSIS
Experience with network connectivity
Four or more year’s industry experience with Microsoft products
Strong knowledge of Microsoft® Windows 2000/2003 Server and Windows 2000 Professional
Four or more year’s industry experience with Microsoft Server products (preferred)
Strong knowledge of UNIX or other operating systems (preferred).
B.S. degree in C.S. or E.E. or equivalent
