BridgePoint Technologies, ****, a premier full service consulting firm, located in Oak Brook, IL is currently seeking to expand its IT Managed Services Staff and supplement its current staff with top level consultants that will join our team to support our expanding client base and existing customers' IT Infrastructure.
The Network Engineer's p
rimary responsibilities will be assisting our clients in successful completion of current project initiatives by providing Technical Field and Phone Support for the Chicago-land area. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be willing to work at various sites while being on call throughout the suburbs and downtown Chicago area.
General Job Requirements:
Be the main point of contact for client environments
Provide Technical Field and Phone Support for clients based in the Chicago-land area
Support environments with 1-300 users and with multiple locations
Multitasking abilities a must
Work well without direct supervision
Must have reliable transportation (Our positions are located in various areas in and around the Chicago land area so there is some travel that will be required.
Technical Competencies:
Technical Customer Support:
Provide technical assistance for end user issues over phone.
Provide responsive quality customer service and support at all times.
Perform immediate analysis of customer problems and direct the implementation of corrective action to restore function and avoid recurrence.
Record all incidents while maintaining accountability and ownership until resolved.
Perform customer follow-up to verify final resolution and determine satisfaction level.
Review and develop department systems and procedures to ensure effective problem solving.
Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
Networking: 5 Years
TCP/IP networking concepts.
Hands-on Network Hardware experience implementing and configuring routers and switches. including Cisco, Linksys, Netgear, SonicWALL, Peplink.
SMTP/POP Email Administration and troubleshooting.
Storage Technologies.
Hardware Experience:
Computer Hardware installation and upgrade (Memory, System Boards, Expansion Cards)
Peripheral and Printer installation and troubleshooting
Laptop and Desktop repair and troubleshooting
Server Racking and Stacking
Disaster Recovery: 2 - 4 Years
Backup Exec, NT Backup, Robocopy, SQL experience and best practices.
Disaster Recovery planning and testing experience.
Proactive preventative maintenance (Hardware, software).
Antivirus and spam filtering systems implementation experience.
Asset management.
Other Skills (Really Nice to Have):
Windows Server 2008 / Exchange Server 2010
Blackberry Professional and/or Enterprise Server Setup and Administration
Apple experience
Linux/Unix experience
SharePoint experience
