Java Developer

Profile

If you are a quick on your feet Java developer who enjoys coding above all else; thrive in small, agile, high-paced teams; have 5 to 8 years of server-side development experience; a solid grasp of inter-process communication methodologies and love dynamic, collaborative environments, then we want to speak with you! As an application developer you would play a major role in a massive re-engineering initiative. This role would involve analysis, design and development of the business functions and services associated with the Operational Data Storage architecture.

Qualifications:
• Java server-side development experience

• Solid understanding of programming principles, such as inter-process communications in the distributed environment; understanding time and space complexity of different collections and algorithms

• Practical knowledge of production considerations, such as version control, code libraries, source control systems, documentation, code reviews, automation testing tools and methodology, and software release management

• Good understanding of relational database concepts.

• Experience with Spring framework.

• Understanding of Web Applications development principles.

• Practical knowledge of a scripting language, preferably Python.

• Familiarity with different test automation techniques.

• Strong knowledge of PL/SQL and experience with SQL optimization techniques.

• Sun Java Certification is a plus.

Job requirements:
• Working in a very collaborative environment, participate in all stages of applications development process, including design, implementation, testing and production support

• Ability to solve problems. We expect you to be a solutions-oriented, out-of-the-box thinker who frequently comes up with new and innovative ways of doing things

• Good communication skills are a must! You are expected to effectively interact with both, technical and non-technical personnel. These skills should encompass all facets of communication, including both written and verbal contact.
