Job Description:
This position is responsible for providing intermediate analysis and documentation, formulating logical statements of business and management problems, and providing solutions utilizing more efficient operational procedure, work flow, and information technology solutions.
Salary Range
From $66,960 to $95,000 Annually

CS23.
Specific Job Related Duties
This person will be responsible for redesigning and maintaining the UTMB Health Research Services website using approved templates. The work will also include building web based reports using data stored in Oracle and Microsoft databases. This individual will be required to determine user requirements and design web applications and data delivery mechanisms to meet those requirements. This person should also be able to establish timelines, communicate project status, oversee user testing, write documentation, establish data security, and assist with user training as needed. The developer will be responsible for designing, testing, and optimizing secure relational databases and web applications. This will require experience with web-based applications using ASP.Net, classic Active Server Pages (ASP), JavaScript, and Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases as a back-end.
Preferred Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent.
Preferred Work Experience
- Experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL development tools
- Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services
- Experience developing interactive web sites using classic ASP, ASP.NET, AJAX, VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML and SQL syntax with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle as a back end for delivery of database driven dynamically generated web pages and reports.
- Understanding and experience with the full application development life cycle
