About Trade and Transaction Reporting The \u201cTrade and Transaction Reporting\u201d is a Technology and Operations function in Barclays responsible for cross asset trade repository and reporting solutions in response to the various Regulatory reforms globally.This team has Cross Asset, Cross Jurisdiction (US, EMEA, APAC) and Cross Regulations coverage with impact across every single Front Office asset class (Rates, Credit, SPG, Exotics, FX, Commodities, Equities, Futures, Repos, Bonds etc) at Barclays. Please visit our websitefor more information Overall Purpose of role The role is of Senior Developer and is required to work on the on-boarding of new regulations (RIKSBANK, MAS etc) on the OneReg platform. He will also work on consolidation of OneReg MiFID and non-MiFID instances. \u00b7Design and develop high level solution for end to end data flow and reporting solution for new regulations \u00b7Design and understand the transformation\/format rules that are required across various jurisdictions \u00b7Play a key development role in implementing the archiving solution across Cross Assetclasses Key Accountabilities 1.Analysis: \u00b7Assistance as required in the requirements analysis for system enhancements and changes. \u00b7Translate business requirements into functional specifications if required. 2.Technical Leadership: \u00b7Participate in designing the technical architecture across all regulations and not just Transaction \/ Trade reporting 3.Design: \u00b7Interpret and understand functional specifications \u00b7Design and prototype user-centric front and back end components \u00b7Understand and implement brand values across all web pages, widgets, and reports 4.Code: \u00b7Hands on development of quality (i.e. readable, performing and supportable) Java code \u00b7Hands on development of Autosys and Unix scripts, delivering the functionality detailed in the technical specifications \u00b7Understand RDBMS and also involve in performance tuning of the SQL queries. \u00b7Ensuring code written meets the predefined company and department standards 5.Performance Tuning: \u00b7Tuning existing code to ensure optimal application performance 6.Quality Assurance: \u00b7Conducting peer reviews and providing constructive feedback \u00b7Mentoring junior members of the team 7.Testing: \u00b7Preparation of detailed unit test cases \u00b7Execution of unit test cases and documentation of results \u00b7Providing support during QA and UAT test phases \u00b7Diagnosis and resolution of defects found during QA and UAT test phases \u00b7Support regression testing - investigate output differences. 8.Implementation: \u00b7Packaging up codes for release into production \u00b7On implementation of releases, provide training to support team members Basic Qualifications \u00b74 year Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent \u00b78 years of core Java experience in the areas of Multithreading, Memory management and handling high volumes of data processing \u00b72 years experience of working in Agile and Lean environments. Preferred Qualifications\/Skills \u00b7Volt DB and SQL Server experience is mandatory \u00b7JVM performance tuning, garbage collection optimization experience will be helpful \u00b7Big Data \/ Hadoop technology work experience is nice to have \u00b7Knowledge of recent regulatory initiatives within ESMA or other E.U regions \u00b7Knowledge of investment banking front to back processesand Operations.
