Profile

Description The primary responsibility of this position is to provide leadership in the areas of requirements management, test management, and project management to solve complex business problems, for our Marketing Products. This suite of products have been developed on various platforms including, but not limited to, Salesforce, Windows, and Tibco Business works. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following: Document activities from design to completion to assist future analysts in understanding work solutions. Ensure documentation completion for overall project. Consult with user departments in the analysis of manual and automated systems; presents detailed system specifications, formats, and templates. Suggests solutions to problems presented that fit within the operating limitations of equipment. Analyze existing systems and databases, and recommend enhancements to solve identified business needs. Apply working knowledge of application components (e.g., file structures) in conjunction with query tools to solve identified business needs. Responsible for all aspects of internal system acceptance testing, ensuring delivery of well-tested system enhancements, and further ensuring systems meet business requirements. Set quality standards for system functionality testing, organize and supervise a cross-functional testing team, where appropriate, in preparing system and integration test data, testing and reporting test results to programming and to management. Support business objectives by investigation of user needs and development of innovative ideas for solutions. Coordinate, analyze and schedule system change requests with users and other IT staff. Ensure systems meet the business needs of users by acting as a liaison and listening post with users and user representatives regarding system change requests and specific business requirements design. Maintain the confidential nature of matters pertaining to company records and policies. Demonstrate project management skills. Can establish project milestones, define roles and responsibilities, monitor and report project progress, etc. Enhance project management skills by participating in defining and presenting system solutions and time lines for identified business needs and/or technical problems to management. Participate in feasibility and conceptual design, functional design, and general design studies. In conjunction with end-users, decide what changes need to be made to documentation, training, problem diagnosis, and programs, in view of the utilization and application of end-user skills to solve the identified business need. Advise user departments and selects software packages from outside vendors to solve defined user needs. Provide user departments with development and/or change of departmental procedures. Communicate and explain business requirements design to others involved in the process. Develop work schedules, assign staff and coordinate with overall departmental and development project plans. Develop alternatives to mitigate risk of impact to development. Act as a consultant to client and local management during casino start-ups, conversions, and other projects as assigned. Ensure project scope remains u201cin alignmentu201d with stated departmental objectives, clients business needs, and budgetary measures. Maintain frequent high quality communications with clients and all other affected individuals/ areas of projects and support, including project meetings, project plans, financial performance, project scope and key assumptions, dates, etc. Develop high level cost estimates, prepare cost/benefit analyses, develop and monitor budget for operating location, report variances. Facilitate requirement gathering sessions one-on-one or small groups and provide strategic context for stakeholder feedback. Translate the scope into test cases/user stories and articulate discrepancies between actual and acceptance criteria results encountered when executing testing. Able to identify and classify defects and their severity and priority. Document activities from design to completion to assist future analysts in understanding work solutions. Ensure documentation completion for overall project. Coordinate legal, marketing, financial and other reviews for critical documentation. Coordinate clients, business analysts, and technical teams to structure requirements into phased functional modules. Able to set-up the testing activities in a phase of the software development life cycle; starting to analyze potential risks and plan their mitigation. Assist in creating a test strategy including developing risk mitigation strategies and resources requirements. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE 3 years work experience in job with systems analysis and design, implementation, training, and testing required; or 3 years experience in end-user area with 1 years experience in analysis, design, implementation, testing and training. Requires knowledge of systems analysis and design. Requires in-depth knowledge of database uses and design. Working knowledge in spreadsheets, word processing and operating systems. Basic knowledge of systems analysis and design preferred. Experience in hardware installation and diagnostics preferred, usually acquired through previous business systems experience. Basic knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project management techniques requiredIdeal Candidate will have experience with SQL, Web Services, Server Maintenance, HTML and Salesforce.com. EDUCATION Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in Computer Sciences, Management Sciences, or Engineering field preferred.
