Performs advanced quantitative analysis, which may include asset liability modeling studies, optimized asset allocation studies and/or other quantitative applications, using models, screening tools and portfolio management systems.. Oversees statistical analysis and model development to support decision-making by running statistical strategies and working with various asset classes. Monitors and reviews existing portfolio positions producing reports. Conducts on-going communication with portfolio managers and security analysts.
Designs and codes portfolio management models, tools and systems in order to perform qualitative and advanced quantitative assessments. May perform Monte Carlo simulations or asset allocation optimization. Evaluates identified model risks and reaches conclusions on strengths and limitations of various models.
Uses quantitative tools and techniques to measure and analyze portfolio positions and risks. Makes specific portfolio positioning and trading recommendations to portfolio managers. Measures security and portfolio performance and resulting performance attribution.
Designs periodic model and tool testing. Prepares and analyzes detailed documents for validation and regulatory compliance. Supports other members of the portfolio management and security analysts teams in a research capacity.

As a Sr. Quantitative Analyst within PNC's Portfolio Analytics Group, you will be based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and support PNC Capital Advisors LLC, PNC's Investment Management Team.
In this newly created role, you will define new business processes and work with technical teams to create the infrastructure to house data and define it as a data steward. The role is primarily hands on but also requires a focus on managing a small team. You will use your expertise in understanding data sets to centralize the data warehouses, clean it and then work with other data users to route it appropriately. In this highly visible role, you will also set broad data strategy.
Role requires experience with SQL, R, Python, Tableau and Mathlab. Experience with Hadoop or Cloud is a plus. Knowledge of Equity Performance Attribution Reporting and Investment Risk Reporting and a CFA is a plus.
