Responsibilities & Requirements
The Migration Specialist will work independently and as part of a team to deliver completed data migrations to the EveryAction platform. They will coordinate schedules, meet and report to internal Migrations Stakeholders, and help our clients be strong users of their tools. A Migration Specialist has stellar communication skills and has a strong grasp of data mapping and end-user database administration.
Responsibilities
Lead 20 or more migration projects at a time, including the migration of client data, edits to client data, and completing timely reconciliation to ensure data integrity
Lead 1:1 and 1:many calls with clients that in migration, ensuring timelines and expectations are set throughout the process
Load supplemental data to the EveryAction platform using SQL and Bulk Upload tool
Understand and assist with client use of NGP and EveryAction's digital tools, including Targeted Email and Online Actions forms
Help coordinate schedules between clients and NGP VAN resources
Conduct regular check-ins with clients using the new platform, handling key aspects of their support and training
Use judgment and discretion to recommend changes that result in increased efficiency in the migration process
Coordinate and assist in the production of client-facing documentation
Project Manage Migrations through the approval to execution cycle
Create migration processes and perform documentation updates
Qualifications - Must Haves
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, etc.)
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data for migration reconciliation
Experience with SQL
Excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong critical thinking, logical problem-solving ability, and a willingness to learn
Comfortable working in a high-paced environment
Detail-oriented with proven ability to deal with ambiguity and work effectively in situations involving uncertainty or lack of information
Able to prioritize with minimal guidance and hit deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications - Nice to Haves
Ideal candidates will have experience with multiple NGP VAN/EveryAction products (VoteBuilder, VAN, NGP Classic, NGP 7, NGP 8, or EveryAction 8, Salsa Labs)
Experience working with compliance, fundraising, and/or email tools, for political campaigns, unions, or nonprofits
Previous experience teaching or training, including activities such as mentoring, tutoring, and/or software support
Experience in customer relations or an equivalent field, though not required, is valued
