Party vendors – this client does not allow sub-contracting. The release manager will work with a large, global and multidiscipline team in a matrix management organization to help build and implement the software release/software configuration management practices for the team. Responsibilities include: Determine the gaps in the current process and skill sets that must be closed to implement release management best practices; identify a plan for closing the gaps; Provide technical support to software developers in the proper execution of code management processes; Provide direction and support to all team members in establishment automated testing processes; Identify the activities needed to ensure the software products meet quality standards and performance objectives within defined time and budget targets; Drive the identification and adoption of continuous integration processes that could benefit the development team
Required Skills:
Minimum 15 years of experience as a release/software configuration manager
Prior experience identifying and implementing release management processes and process improvements
Excellent communication, organization and analytical skills are mandatory
Automated build and test experience
Experience implementing CI
Working knowledge of technical architectures and iterative development cycles
BS in Computer Science or related or equivalent work experience
Skills Preferred:
Accurev experience strongly preferred
Java Development and SQL Server experience
Infrastructure Architecture knowledge
